A morning at Kinder.

Last Friday, I was on Kinder duty so Ben and I stayed for the morning and helped out. Ben had such a great time playing with the big kids and getting to explore all the many things to do.
Here is Hailey doing some cutting.
Doing some painting. She loves Kinder and the teacher said she is doing very well and is always happy and polite.

Ben felt like all his dreams had come true. There was a whole corner of cars!! There were so many of them, big and small. He and a few other little boys spent a large part of the morning in this corner.
After playtime they have song time. Here they all are listening to the teacher.
Running in the running song.
Everyone doing crawling.
Then comes snack time. Hailey conversing with Charlotte who is across the table.
Then comes outdoor time. There is lots to play on and the most popular thing is definately the trampoline.
A pic of Hailey and her friend Caitlin. They were fossicking around in the bark together looking for treasures! Caitlin has some in her hand.
Climbing on the outdoor equipment

After outdoor time, they all come inside and listen to a story before hometime.
They all have such a lovely time.

Snippets of February

Hailey and I went to Collingwood Childrens Farm. We enjoy going there and Hailey loves patting and feeding all the animals. Here she is with a Guinea pig. Hailey loves chooks and enjoyed following this one around for a little while.
She found a cat in the barn.
There were about 20 goats in the shed as is was raining. Hailey loved feeding them but I am always amazed at her confidence as they were big and pushy but she didnt mind.
She particularly loves horses and was very happy that they came over for a pat.
Milking the cow is always a highlight!
The best part of the afternoon for her was being able to jump in lots of puddles of water. Children always seem to be drawn towards water. She got very wet and had a great time!
We went to the Botanical Gardens childrens garden. It is a lovely place with lots of places for kids to discover. The water features were particularly popular and Hailey and Ben played mostly in the little stream that runs through it.
We then found the vege garden and it had a big dirt pit in it. So our little wet kids loved playing in it and getting incredibly muddy!!
We then had a picnic dinner there. It was so nice.
Here is Ben and Dad after dinner.
