6th December 2009

We went and saw Santa last week. Hailey ran straight to him and onto his lap but Ben wouldnt go anywhere near him so we decided to all get in the photo. Hailey is beaming but Ben wants out!

Today we went to the beach. It was a lovely warm day and the kids loved it. They loved the sand and both did a little run in the water.

Haileys favourite part was feeding the seagulls.

We had fish and chips on the beach. It was a bit gritty due to sand being blown into it but it was great!!

Hailey loves seeing brides and is regularly talking about getting married herself. Today when we were leaving the beach a bridal party arrived. Hailey went over to say how beautiful the bride looked and we managed to get a photo!! She was a lovely, friendly lady.


Shane goes to the boxing gym every second day and last week we went in to watch him. Its a great place with a really good vibe. Shane trains really hard and we were very impressed!!

Here is a pic of me with some of my potatoes. This was my first try at growing potatoes and they are great! We have had two meals of them already and there are still plenty left in the ground.

This is Hokey relaxing on the lounge. He believes it is his job to sample everything in the vege garden so i am trying to convince him otherwise.

November News!

Bruce (Grandpa) has retired after 53 years in the car industry. What an amazing achievement!!
We visited him in his office on the last day.

On the 14th of November we celebrated Shane's birthday. We had a nice walk to the coffee shop for a drink in the morning and then went to a pancake restaurant up in the mountains for dinner with Margaret and Bruce. He had a great day.

We go to a local playgroup every Tuesday morning and they have just made up their new brochure for 2010. Hailey and Ben were the main features in the photos!!

We regularly enjoy visiting our local coffee shop for a drink. Hailey and Ben have babychinos. Its a lovely walk there and back.

Recently I managed to pick up a swing set for free off "freecycle". It is fantastic and the kids love playing on it. Many hours of entertainment for them!

Hailey is always there to help Ben.

October

Shane is the Musical Director of Blackburn big band. Last week Bruce and I went to watch a performance so I took my camera. Here he is out the front.

Here he is playing with them to give one of the players a rest. He really enjoys working with the band.
Sometimes when its a bit quiet at home I take Hailey and Ben to the local play centre. They have such fun!!


They love playing in the sandpit and are in it most days. Ben still tries to put sand in his mouth but he is slowly learning that it tastes bad.

Last weekend we had my friend Debbie visit. She and I spent 2 days clothes shopping. We had such a good time and I now have a new Summer wardrobe. Hailey and Ben loved having a visitor.

Debbie bought Hailey some clothes as well. This is the beautiful dress that Hailey was thrilled to receive.

The Royal Melbourne Show!

In the train, all excited, travelling to the show.

We asked Hailey what she wanted to do at the show and she said the ferris wheel, so we went straight to it. She loved it.

We visited the animal nursery. Hailey loved patting all the animals but particularly loved the lambs. Ben was asleep to he missed seeing them. Next year...

Hailey loved the pony ride, although she did ask if she could ride a bigger horse!!

They didnt last long.... very tired after a big day.

But Ben was still bright as a button as he had happily had his midday nap in the pram while we were walking around.
